1. Become a tourist

2. Wake up to a view
For un-paralleled views you can’t do better than a visit to the Lake District. Home to England’s largest National Park, its highest mountain (Scafell Pike) and deepest lake (Wastwater), the Lake District is a must for your bucket list. Once you’ve exhausted yourself with stunning walks and mountain biking straight from the campsite, visit the Grasmere Gingerbread shop to try the famous gingerbread and award-winning rum butter...

3. Sample the best fish and chip shop in the country
Have you visited the best fish and chip shop in the country yet? The queue by the coast is worth the wait and not only for the stunning views! Aldeburgh is a world-renowned seaside town on The Suffolk Coast. From here you can enjoy the Aldeburgh Festival, an extraordinary classical music festival founded by the composer Benjamin Britten and Snape Maltings, an arts complex on the banks of the River Alde, with award winning independent shops, cafe, tea room and pub.

4. Rockpooling at Kimmeridge Bay
Jump in a tent, campervan, motorhome or caravan and explore the Jurassic Coast, home to England’s first natural World Heritage Site. With 95 miles of coastline stretching from Exmouth in East Devon to Old Harry Rocks in Studland Bay there is plenty to explore. Discover the quaint villages and beautiful coastline on the Dorset and East Devon Coast. Rockpools at Kimmeridge Bay or The Purbeck Marine Wildlife Reserve, the longest established Voluntary Marine Nature Reserve in the UK, are particular highlights. You can also enjoy fossil hunting from the cliffs and beaches.

5. Tour an English vineyard
Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey is the largest vineyard in the country and definitely worth a visit. Walk through the working winery during a tour and explore the wine cellars. Alternatively, enjoy a vineyard train tour taking in some of the most beautiful views in Surrey. With footpaths open to all you can wander around the vineyard at your own leisure and then enjoy cream tea in the conservatory. Foodies will also love the Gallery Restaurant with panoramic views of the vineyard and the wonderful Village Greens farm shop.

6. Master Cambridge punting
How better to enjoy a warm afternoon than punting in Cambridge? After taking in the sites of Cambridge by boat, admire the beautiful architecture of colleges like Corpus Christi, Magdalene and the Bridge of Sighs. A visit to King's College Chapel is also a must. If you’re feeling active Cambridge Cherry Hinton Caravan Club Park offers great cycling paths into and around Cambridge, or enjoy a lovely walk around the nature reserve and old chalk pits.

7. Visit King Arthur's birthplace
Tintagel Castle steeped in legend and mystery is said to be King Arthur’s birthplace. Set high on the rugged North Cornwall coast, visitors can experience spectacular scenery and dramatic sea views from the castle ruins.

8. Soak in Bath's thermal waters
Follow Roman footsteps with a visit to Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Soak in Bath's thermal waters, the only place in the UK where you can bathe in naturally hot spa water and original roman style baths. There’s also beautiful architecture, iconic sights and fascinating history to explore.

9. Go mountain biking in the Peak District
The Peak District National Park offers breath-taking views with fantastic cycling opportunities. There are plenty of cycling centres to hire bikes for families, beginners or more experiences cyclists. Enjoy fabulous off-road cycling routes including Tissington and High Peak Trails which meet at Parsley Hay and the quieter Manifold Track in the south-western Peak running from Waterhouses along the old Leek and Manifold light railway line.

10. Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands nature reserve
Take a trip by boat to Britain’s first Nature Reserve, now cared for by the National Trust. The Farne Islands lie two to three miles off the Northumberland coast, and are home to arguably the most exciting seabird colony in England. The Islands are home to 23 species, including 37,000 pairs of puffins and a large grey seal colony, with more than 1,000 pups born each Autumn.
