BMW PGA Championship Wentworth Club 24th May – 27th  May 2018

The flagship event of the European Tour calendar, the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Golf Club promises to attract Europe’s biggest names. The week kicks off with a Celebrity Pro-Am on the Wednesday where celebrities and professionals will come together to battle it out. The main event  then begins on the Thursday carrying on right through to the Sunday where the winner will earn a huge 1 million euros!

The 4-day event will see names from across the globe compete in a tournament that dates back to 1955 at one of the most iconic courses on the European Tour schedule. The venue itself is set in the beautiful surrey countryside, surrounded by stunning woodland and the famous Wentworth Estate. PGA Championship

 

Womens World Cup Hockey 21st July - 5th August 2018

A successful campaign at the Rio Olympics saw Team GB come home with a Gold Medal. This time the team will be divided into their respective nations and will be doing their all to bring home the Hockey World Cup. Hosted at Lee Valley Sports Centre, on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, this event promises to create many more magical memories at a venue that has already played host to some memorable matches in recent years. A chance to watch some of the best players in woman’s hockey as they compete on the biggest stage.

Wimbledon 2nd July – 15th July 2018

The oldest tennis tournament in the world dating back to 1877, see’s the top players from around the world descend on London for 2 weeks to compete for the most coveted prize in Tennis, the Wimbledon Championship. The tournament, rich in history continues many of the original tournaments traditions including: all players must wear only white clothing when competing is a rule that has been in place since the 1800’s!

British Grand Prix Silverstone 5th– 8th July 2018

A former World War 2 aerodrome sight turned race circuit, now home to both the British Grand Prix and the oldest race on the Formula One calendar. Enjoy the spectacle as the cars hit speeds of up to 200mph on a track known for being incredibly fast by many of the drivers. The venue has played host to many great races in years gone by including a famous Lewis Hamilton victory that saw him finish 70 seconds ahead of second place!

The circuit itself is a great venue for spectators, with the choice of choosing a seated grandstand on a particular part of the track or change location throughout the day and enjoy different parts of the track.

Grand National Aintree 12th– 14thApril 2018

The largest and most popular horse race of the year, held at Aintree racecourse in Liverpool draws the attention of many throughout the country who otherwise would have very little interest in horse racing. The Open Championship at Carnoustie 15th – 22nd July 2018

Perhaps the most desirable golf tournament in the world, The Open attracts the biggest names in golf as they take to one of the most iconic links courses in an attempt to take home the claret jug. The tournament this year is held at Carnoustie Golf Club in Scotland, a location rich in history with past winners including Tom Watson and Gary Player, both legends of the game.

The event will stretch over a four day period with the winner lifting the trophy on the Sunday afternoon. There will be some memorable moments and some fantastic golf on show, sure to attract millions of viewers from around the globe.

T20 Blast Finals Day 2018 15th September 2018

A jam-packed finals day that see’s the top four teams compete in the 20 over format of the game on one day. There will be three matches, two finalists and one winner. The shorter, exciting format continues to grow and attract the large crowds, an example of this is the party like atmosphere that is sure to be present in mid-September.

The event is held at Edgbaston in Birmingham and promises to not only showcase some of the best cricketers in England but is also a great day out enjoyed in an atmosphere that you wouldn’t usually associate with cricket!

Edinburgh International Swim Meet and British Championships 1st -4th March 2018

2018 signals the mid-way point to the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 as Team GB will look to add to it’s medals in the swimming pool. The Edinburgh International Swim Meet as well as the British Championships will be another opportunity for the young swimmers to take to the pool and show that they are ready for the next step up and to compete with the best. One swimmer who has competed at the event is Adam Peaty, the current World Record holder in 50m and 100m breaststroke. The event this year is sure to attract both the stars of now and the future.

The location itself is in central Edinburgh and is only a short walk from Holyrood Park, home to the famous Arthur’s Seat, an ancient volcano that gives fantastic views of the city below.

Badminton Horse Trials 2nd – 6th May

This annual event held in the stunning grounds of the Badminton Estate will see horses and riders from around the world come together and compete on one of the biggest stages of equestrian sport.
