The twelfth edition of the Cricket World Cup is taking place in England and Wales this summer and is sure to attract a huge crowd. This is the fifth time England and Wales is hosting the event and matches will take places across 11 grounds. This time 10 teams will be battling it out to reign supreme. BMW PGA Championship Wentworth Club 19th September – 22nd September 2019

BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Golf Club is the flagship event of the European Tour calendar and promises to attract Europe’s biggest names. The week starts off on the Tuesday with the practice day, whilst Wednesday sees competition begin with celebrities and professionals coming together to battle it out in Celebrity Pro-AM. The main event begins on the Thursday carrying on right through to the Sunday where players chase a huge prize fund of $7 million and ultimate golfing glory.

Wimbledon 1st July – 14th July 2019

Top players from around the world descend on London’s iconic centre court for the oldest tennis tournament in the world to compete for the most coveted prize in tennis, the Wimbledon Championship. The tournament is rich in history and prides itself on keeping many of its original traditions, one of which being that all players must wear only white clothing when competing and has been in place since the 1800’s.

British Grand Prix Silverstone – 12th – 14th July 2019

Enjoy the Formula 1 magic as cars hit speeds of up to 200mph on a track well known for its speediness at the British Grand Prix. The venue, a former World War 2 aerodrome site turned race circuit, has played host to many astonishing races over the years, including the famous Lewis Hamilton victory that saw him finish 70 seconds ahead of second place.

You can enjoy different parts of the track by moving around throughout the day or stick to your favourite spot on the grandstand, the Silverstone circuit is all around a great venue for spectators.

Grand National Aintree 4th – 6th April 2019

Held at Aintree racecourse in Liverpool, the largest and most popular horse race of the year draws the attention of both experts and those who otherwise would have very little interest in horse racing. UCI 2019 Road World Championship 21th to 29th September

The world’s best cyclists are coming to Yorkshire in September for the UCI Road World Championships, the peak event in international road cycling. This week-long event includes a variety of races for both men and women, across age groups from junior to elite, starting in different towns and cities throughout Yorkshire with each finishing in the main competition town of Harrogate.

Racing commences on the Saturday with a para-cycling event running alongside the Championship, which acts as a qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. After hosting the Grand Départs for the 2014 Tour de France and the ever-growing annual race Tour de Yorkshire, this is set to be a cycling celebration not to be missed.

T20 Blast Finals Day 21st September 2019

With one of the best atmospheres in domestic cricket, Blast Finals Day is one of the annual cricket events you won’t want to miss. Netball World Cup 12th – 21st July 2019
