Ronald and Maureen Ward, Members of the Swift Owners Club

Our travels have taken us to France, Austria, Croatia, Poland, Italy, Scandanavia and beyond. Caravannaning is our main hobby; there's always so much to see.

We purchased our first Swift in 1988 a Corniche 14/4. What a way to start!. After much deliberation and discussions with many sales representatives we decided on the top model. As  I was working at the time I did not have a lot of time to look at what fittings we would need to upgrade a basic model so we just went for the one with bells and whistles on.

What we got was luxury caravanning at a very reasonable cost. By joining the UK's two major Clubs it gave us the additional benefit of highly affordable sites to stay on. By getting maximum use of our caravan we more than justified the cost of purchasing it. It also gave us a huge choice of where to go and opened our minds as to where our caravan could take us to see places that we would otherwise not have dreamed of visiting. We look back at where we have travelled in our van and can only marvel at it and that we have been so lucky.

We are now on our tenth Swift Caravan it is our main hobby. We like to keep our Caravan clean and tidy as we are proud to own it. We have kept to Swift as we are, and have been since our first Swift purchase, members of the Swift Owner’s Club. Like most manufacturers using a lot of component parts there are occasional problems but in all the time we have had Swift Caravans any problems have either been sorted out by the Dealers or Swift themselves very promptly.

We have towed Swift Caravans in excess of 170,000 miles and still have great enjoyment with towing in spite of the increasing volume of traffic on the roads. We caravan all year round in all weathers but of course prefer the sunshine. Our journeys have taken us all over Europe including France, Holland, Belgium, Italy Germany ,Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Venice, Poland and Scandanavia. We are planning a visit to Sweden next year to run a rally for our club. There is always so much to see and by caravanning you can choose the standard that suits you within the budget that you have.
