Melanie Hancill and her boyfriend Matt set off on a week-long trip through Smaland, Sweden. The journey saw them camp throughout southern Sweden at both campsites and at wild camping spots throughout. Wild camping is allowed in most locations throughout Sweden and allows you to un-earth hidden gems and experience the real beauty of the area.
Many idyllic camping spots can be found next to one of the thousands of lakes within the region, making Smaland a ‘must see’ if you are camping in or around Sweden. With long quiet roads, getting to and from each location was a simple task for Melanie and Matt who stopped off at many locations including Isaberg Mountain Resort, Glasriket and Oland.
